So much to do...

And so little time.  Honestly, I have so many things that I want to do each day and I struggle to find the time to satisfy all of this.  I feel very lucky to be a stay at home mom who can actually attempt to do all that I want to do in this lifetime.  For example:

-I wanted to become a photographer, so I did.  Luckily, I have 3 really adorable and willing subjects that have allowed me to grow and learn.  Business is really busy right now, I'm not complaining because I love what I do but wow, I feel it will never slow down.

-I want to be as involved in the kids' schools as I can be.  Currently I volunteer at all 3 schools and am in the process of learning what it's all about to be the Volunteer Coordinator at Annika's school.  I will be taking over next year.  I'm really nervous as it's a pretty involved position but I think I will regret not doing this.  At that point, both Bennett and Bianca will be there during my 2 year stint.  I also volunteer weekly in Annika's classroom and frequently at the preschools.

-Crafting.  Currently I am slightly obsessed with creating things.  I taught myself to crochet about a month ago and have been a crocheting fool ever since.  This weekend some friends taught me to sew and of course now I have another new obsession.  I ordered a sewing machine and snatched up some super cute fabrics, now I'm just waiting for it to come tomorrow!  I'm dying here, I just want to create, create, create.

-Housework.  This is never ending and I feel like I never get anywhere with it.  The floors are always dirty, the bathrooms are always nasty and the dishes are always piling up despite my best efforts.  I could really use a live in maid.

-Keeping the kids happy and occupied.  This is a full time job in and of itself.  I swear, at one point they could really occupy themselves nicely but now they depend on me for entertainment.  What's that about?

-Exercise.  Basically it's non-existent.  I really need to work on this, just gotta figure out where it all fits in!

So that's what is on my mind.  Here are some pictures of recent projects I've done.

A cute little winter hat for my favorite dude.

A newborn beanie in a lovely hand spun, hand dyed yarn.  It's beautiful.

A purdy bulky pink hat with a delicate flower embelly.  This is really cute on little Miss.

A lil' punkin hat in a soft twisty yarn.  Super cute.

A candy corn hat in a bulky yarn, I really like how this turned out, the pic doesn't do it justice.

A noodle baby hat and a punkin' hat for my soon to be nephew.  Can't wait to see these on him!

I've listed some of these hats on my FB Page as ready to ships, or ready to replicated so if anyone is interested in commissioning me I'd be happy to do it!

That's about all, Happy Sunday folks!

  2. Whew, you are busy. I love the hats, I took out a book from the library to learn since you inspired me, but I have yet to open it.

  3. Love your photos and crafts! I have good about working out lately, but not so good about lots of other stuff. Like the quilts I need to finish and all the cleaning I need to do around the house.
